My Keto Experience



Recently, I was going through some of my old photos and was shocked to see myself when I wore the same dress after a year.

My routine is pretty much same a required by keto diet.

Being patient with the weight fluctuations and sticking to keto for weeks even with no results on scale.

My gallbladder is removed so I was not sure of fat digestion. But Alhumdulilah, being on keto fixed all my indigestion and heart burn so much so that I haven't taken any medicine for fat digestion since keto. As all fats are good fats and digestible.

Combos with Keto


I do IF,  mostly 2 meals. Weigh and log my whole day meals before eating them.  It get easier to track my macros.

I take home cooked meals and veggies, add ghee and butter to make my food keto during lazy or busy days.

I additionally do OMAD (One Meal A Day) 2 or 3 times in between weeks. That is also when I feel comfortable doing one meal a day. During OMAD, I eat till I am full.

Usually on dawat (Parties) or while eating out, I take proteins and veggies till I am full and drink my fat from home.

I work out 7 hours week. With HIIT (High-intensity interval training ), functional, strength and resistance training.

Meal Prepping helps


I never cheated even a single bite in 2 months. I was able to do this by snacking on teaspoons of butter, cream cheese, crunchy peanut butter or when feel like it, I munch on 90% unsweetened dark chocolate.

I have not taken any food item from a box wrapped or packed during Keto.

I do cheese cream and luxuries (like breads, nuts, berries, greek yoghart) 4-5 times in 15days. To try to keep it simple.

I often prepare and take my meals for sharing to places where I know there won't be any keto friendly food.

My quick energizers have been drinking beef broth, apple cider vinegar and salt water.
I also used to take Black Coffee with mct oil before workout.

  • Calcium zinc and magnesium tablets from Nature bounty.
  • Potassium from Cream of tarter in water. Also( lots of green leafy veggies )
  • Natures bounty hair Skin and nail tablets with dove (keratine hair repair shampoo for hair loss due to change in diet).


My achievement and goals in Feb 2018

Starting weight 62kg.
Current: 54.3kg.
Target: 52kg.


Current update as of March 2019

I am 52kg and maintaining it since a year now in fact went down to 50kg. Now I'm intermittent fasting and low carb with no sugar diet. Work out is a must.
